Help paying for specialty drugs

Specialty medications can run thousands of dollars a month — but almost every manufacturer has a patient assistance program (PAP), copay card, or foundation that can cut your cost to as little as $0. Start with the maker of your drug, then check the independent foundations below.

Manufacturer patient assistance programs

Tip: commercial copay cards are usually not allowed for Medicare or Medicaid patients — but the manufacturer's foundation often is. Income limits are typically 300–500% of the Federal Poverty Level.

How to apply — fast version

  1. Find your drug's manufacturer on the label or at DailyMed.
  2. Go to that manufacturer's PAP page (listed above) and download the application.
  3. Most forms need: proof of income (tax return or pay stubs), insurance status, and a prescriber signature.
  4. Ask your doctor's office — many have a financial navigator who files these for you.
  5. If denied or you have Medicare, apply to a foundation (PAN, HealthWell, PAF) for your disease.
  6. Approval typically takes 1–3 weeks; emergency/bridge supplies are often available.

Not sure which program fits your drug, insurance, or income? Ask the AI advocate — it can match you to the right PAP or foundation in seconds.
